INDIVIDUAL VIOLIN LESSONS
Violin lessons are positive and creative which allows for a natural progression of learning for each student while building a solid foundation on the violin. All violin lessons are individually designed with goals to meet the needs of each student, which allows students to move at their own individual pace.
Each student has weekly violin lessons and has the opportunity to perform at our studio recitals held twice per year.

GROUP VIOLIN LESSONS
Group violin lessons focus on practicing listening skills, performance skills, group cohesion, and are a great motivation for practice. Students have opportunities to learn as a group, play as a group and experience playing for their peers. Group classes are also a chance to develop musicianship skills and to have fun with other violinists!
PARENT & CHILD VIOLIN LESSONS
Parent & child violin lessons are helpful for younger children ages 3 & 4, however all students can learn alongside with a parent. Learning with a parent can be motivating and creates a special bond between parent & child as they learn together and experience practicing & goals alike.

INTRODUCTORY LESSONS FOR CHILDREN - "FIDDLE FRIENDS"
Our Fiddle Friends program is a great way for young children ages 4-7yrs to give the violin a try. This class consists of weekly group classes with other children who are brand new to the violin. Throughout Fiddle Friends classes, students learn how to care for the violin, are introduced to posture and bow hold, rhythms and singing songs. Fiddle Friends is a wonderful class for parents and students who are not ready to fully commit to regular at-home practice and a yearly individual and group violin lesson schedule.

“Violin has been such a wonderful musical experience for my daughter - it has given her a such a sense of pride and accomplishment. Melissa is a phenomenal teacher and really understands kids - she truly has a knack for knowing when her students are ready for a challenge and how to bring out the best in each student.”
"Melissa is a very caring and professional violin teacher. It is clear that she enjoys her work and her love for music is contagious."
“The combination of the individual and weekly group violin classes works so well. The individual lessons allow for personalized teaching and the group sessions make my kids feel like they are part of a "team". It is very inspiring to them to see and hear the more advanced students play and also to perform in front of their peers. This also gives them incentive to practice!!"
“Group has been a wonderful way to keep our kids engaged in violin because it is no longer a ‘solo effort’ and they are part of a ‘team’. Group has allowed our kids to meet some other great kids and I think they all inspire, support and encourage each other (though they don’t even know it!) while getting to play some really wonderful different and fun pieces that they wouldn’t get to play as a soloist. Most importantly, it is a lot of fun!”
